A transportable seating and information installation based on the geometry of the seed pod and seeds of Flindersia Australis for the Millenium Seed Project.

The strong, sculptured geometry of the woody capsules which each split into five boat shaped valves, and the papery quality of its seed serve as an inspiring reference point for a unique proposal. This installation opens to attract and invite visitors to sit down and engage in conversation. 

The boat shaped seating elements are fabricated from precision cut plywood fins with simple hinged connections at their bases.
