In 2016 studio505 completed a journey we started over a decade ago. studio505 explored an extraordinary range of typologies across the vesica pisces of South East Asia.We have worked with some fantastic and talented people, as collaborators, employees, consultants, constructors and clients. We have seen some of our most ambitious and largest projects come to fruition in the last months of the practice, and we look forward to entering these studio505 works into the coming round of awards. 

Whilst we are now closed for new business studio505 will continue to support this website as an online record and catalogue of our projects and the rich history of our time here. This online catalogue forms the foundation of our new independent businesses:

Dylan Brady and
Dirk Zimmermann
established their early
careers working on
numerous public and
private projects, both
large and small across
the world.

Dylan and Dirk met whilst working closely together on the Federation Square project in Melbourne, Australia, respectively for LAB and Atelier One. Together they designed the facades, folded glass foyers and atrium structures over a period of 6 years. From 2003 Dylan and Dirk worked together in studio505, developing and testing a collaboration of artistic spirit and technical knowledge. The fusion of their passion, and the contribution of the large team of people who contributed to studio505 over the years of operation resulted in the highly successful and innovative portfolio of built work through Oceania, and recorded here in this website. Dylan and Dirk remain directors of studio505, and have each embarked on their own journeys to further explore and experiment upon the joint foundation of studio505.
